ARIZONA CITY — Kathleen Mae Brown, 51, of Arizona City died on Jan. 21, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Arizona City Evangelical Methodist Church. The service will follow at 11, with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Pa.
Mrs. Brown was born on April 8, 1960 in
Springfield, Mo. She joined the Navy at age 18 and served in Pensacola, Fla., and in Operation Desert Storm. She was a registered nurse. She enjoyed scrapbooking and her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Kerri L. Mumme, of Arizona City; her mother, Vera A. Haykel, of Casa Grande; a brother, Charles D. Smith, of Arkansas; three sisters, Sherry L. Wirth, of Mesa, Vicky L. Shaw and Teresa D. McCullough, of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James K.; a son, Christopher L. Brown; and her father, Charles L. Smith.
