Catherine Cecilia Bycoskie of Hershey's Mill

Catherine Cecilia Bycoskie of Hershey's Mill, formerly of Malvern and Roxborough, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at her home in West Chester, after a lengthy illness.
She was the beloved mother of Pamela Kehs and her husband, Michael of Vienna, Va., and J. Drew Bycoskie and his wife, Danielle Nicole of Collegeville. She was the loving grandmother of Harry, Max, Tayler, Chloe, Bergen and Elly. She was the sister of Monica Ambs of St. Louis, Mo., and James Smith of Royersford.
Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 26, 1938, she was the daughter of James and Mary Smith.
Cecilia trained to be an X-ray technologist and worked for many years at Hahnemann University Hospital, Paoli Hospital and in private physicians' offices.
She was a dedicated parishioner at St. Patrick's Church in Malvern, where she helped start the church's religious education program.
Ceil, as her many friends called her, loved entertaining, the Jersey Shore and Penn State football.
While her walk on this earth was far too short, she made her journey with dignity, integrity and passion, leaving an imprint on the hearts of so many that were fortunate to know her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, 610-431-9000.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 1615 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
