Mrs. Isaac G. Alexander
At the home of her grandson, William Alexander, Jr., in Caln Township, yesterday, Emma, widow of Isaac G. Alexander, died after a lingering illness, in the 76th year of her age.
Her maiden name was Smith and she was born in West Chester, where she spent the greater part of her life. She belonged to the Methodist Episcopal Church, attending regularly when services were held in what is now the Lucas Tag factory, at the corner of Market and Darlington streets. Her husband was a well known painter.
One son, William D., and a grandson survive her. Clara, wife of Harvey D. Sharpe, South New Street, is a sister, as was the late Mrs. Thomas L. Lewis, South Darlington Street, and there are many relatives in this place. She was a daughter of the late John and Phoebe M. Smith, of this place.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice form the residence of her grandson, William D. Alexander, Jr., Gallagherville, on Saturday, August 9. Meet at the house at 1:30 o'clock S.T. Services in Greenmount Chapel at 3 o'clock, S.T. Friends may call Friday evening.
