A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring RD 1, by the Revs. Michael Olivieri and William Weimert.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born April 2, 1910, in Roaring Spring RD, the son of Andrew H. and Gertrude (Kennedy) Smith. He married Hattie Dick on Dec. 13, 1927. She died Aug. 25, 1965.
Surviving are five children: Carl A., Esther M. Wyles, with whom he resided, George K. Jr. and Richard H. of Roaring Spring RD 1; and Betty L. Anderson of Camp Hill; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: Beulah Croft of Roaring Spring, Herbert A. of Roaring Spring RD 1 and Alrue Vespa of Greensburg.
Mr. Smith retired as a wet lap operator from Appleton Papers Inc., Roaring Spring plant, in 1974, after 20 years of service.
He was a member of Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring RD 1, and the men's bible class.
He was one of the original founders of the Halter Creek Coon Hunters Club.
