Mrs. Nellie SMITH BELLAIRE, 51, wife of Harry BELLAIRE, died at 4:47 o'
clock Monday afternoon, August 1, 1938, in her home 114 Grant street
McDonald, after a long illness.
Mrs. BELLAIRE was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Brady SMITH and was
born January 22, 1887, at Parkers Landing. During her childhood she resided
in Washington and since that time had made her home in McDonald. She was a
member of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. W. B. SMITH, her husband; four children,
Mary Elizabeth and Laverne, both at home; Mrs. L. W. SLAGLE of Houston, and
Harry BELLAIRE, Jr., of McDonald; three grandchildren, Lois Laverne SLAGLE
and Ruth Elizabeth and Lyman Lee BELLAIRE; and the following brothers and
sisters; Mrs. Bert KUHNS, Burgettstown; Mrs. J. D.WASSON, Steubenville;
William SMITH, McDonald; Ed SMITH, Steubenville, Paul SMITH, Burgettstown;
Walter SMITH, Warren, Pa.; Mrs. William KAUFMANN, Steubenville, and Mrs.
Charles CLOUSTON, McDonald.
Funeral services are being held in the Bellaire home this Thursday
afternoon with the Rev. O. E. GARDNER in charge. Burial in Robinson's Run
cemetery.
