Audrey Eileen (Smith) Baum, 76, a Northborough, Mass., resident for 49 years, died August 30, 2010, at Holden Nursing Home. Born in Fort Plain, N.Y., on February 18, 1934, she was the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy Brandow Smith. She graduated from Fort Plain High School in 1951. On September 25, 1954, she married William Martin Baum, who preceded her in death on August 31, 1998. Audrey and Bill moved from Upstate New York to Northborough, Mass., with their daughters in 1961 and made it their home. Audrey enjoyed reading, artwork and following politics. Audrey is survived by three daughters Barbara Baum Reed and her husband, Russel of Raleigh, N.C., Johannah (Jodi) Baum Adams and her partner, Gregg Sculthorpe of Holden, Mass., and Pollyann Baum Podolski and her husband, Michael of State College, Pa.; two brothers, Russell Smith and his wife Marlin, and James Smith and his wife Karen; five grandchildren Natalie Reed, George and David Adams, and Bradley and Jeffrey Podolski. Audrey was predeceased by her brother, Melvin Smith, whose wife, Pauline survives. At her request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, Holden, Mass.
