Carter Lake and longtime resident of Omaha. Passed away January 9, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, William J. Harsch; parents, William E. and Lillian Smith; brothers, Stanley and Lester Smith; and sisters, Zelda Toft and Iola Smart. Born in Omaha on August 19, 1915 and graduated from Benson High School. Retired from Kellogg's after 27 years of service. Survived by daughters, Shirley (Gary) Hineline, Sandra (Charles) Curtis, both of Carter Lake, and Sharon (Bruce) Thompsen, Omaha; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grand-children and several relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
