Moving to Jackson to attend Business School after graduation from Winona High School, she married Claude Clark on 12 February 1933. A long-time resident of the Fondren area in Jackson, she was a very active member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. From 1955 until 1975 she worked at Bailey Junior High School, where the students knew her as friendly, kind, and helpful. In 2002 she moved to The Home Place in Madison County. She had many close family members, including her two daughters, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many siblings.
