WELLS ~~ Carolyn Beatrice Freeman, age 79 of Wells, Maine, died Saturday, May 1st at York Hospital. She left this world at peace, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in April 13, 1931 in Wells, Maine, a daughter of Ernest and Georgianna (Hilton) Smith.
Carolyn was pre-deceased by her husband Roy Freeman in 2007 after 56 years of marriage; two brothers, Ernest Jr and Joseph Smith; three sisters, Mary and Mabel Smith and Esselyn Coggeshall.
Surviving are her two sons, Gary Freeman and his wife Tanya and Dwaine Freeman and his wife Marilyn, all of Wells; two daughters, Pamela Freeman of Lebanon and Deborah Dufort and her husband Andy of Wells; three sisters, Doris Stevens of South Berwick, Betty Mosher of Vassalboro, Patricia Freeman of York and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who have been a source of great pride and enjoyment over the years.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 4 from 6-8PM at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick, Maine. Funeral services will be private followed by internment in the Oceanview Cemetery, Wells, Maine.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market Street, North Berwick.
