Burial records indicate that Cynthia is in the "FRENCH tomb" (old no. 138, new no. 15). Newer research is indicating that she is in tomb 136 (old no. 37), which may indicate why she wasn't re-interred at Mount Auburn. But I'm not so sure, Abram French was married to (1) Lucy Smith and (2) Elizabeth Smith. Both Elijah and Charlotte were buried in tomb 15, why would Cynthia be buried away from her family in another tomb? I'm feeling better about the burial records rather than the history books.
