Mary C. (Smith) Douse, of Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, after a joyful life that enriched her family and friends, Mary slipped away into eternity on Feb. 11, 2012 at her home in Hingham. Mary was born in Weymouth 91 years ago. She was the dear daughter of the late John and Mary (Kelly) Smith. Beloved wife of the late George Douse. Devoted mother of George Douse of Quincy and Marylou Douse of Hingham. Sister of the late Rita (Smith) Donahue. Cherished aunt of Laurence Donahue and his wife Marsha of Franklin, Marianne Donahue of Maine and Thomas Donahue of Roslindale. Dear friend of Judy Roy of Abington. Mary was a 1938 graduate of North Quincy High School. She dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children. Mary was a strong supporter of the performing arts and dance recitals. Mary enjoyed her family and friends and was a passionate shopper, traveler and music enthusiast. Mary was an avid boater and life member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club and the Cape Cod Canal Association. Mary will be remembered by her family as a woman who loved life, lived it to the fullest and always had a beautiful smile. Most of all Mary loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Burial was private in St. Pauls Cemetery, Hingham. Donations if you wish may be made to the the Monastery of St. Clare, 920 Centre Avenue, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Arrangements were completed by the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham, MA.
