Harvey J. Smith QUINCY Harvey J. Smith, of Quincy on September 16, 2009, age 89. Loving husband of 67 years to Martha (Mattson) a life long resident of Quincy. Harvey volunteered for many years at Quincy Medical Center in the Pastoral Care Dept., where he could share his passion and devotion for his faith. Harvey worked in the Mold Dept. at Quincy Shipyard and worked at several different engineering positions before opening his own business, NuCem Mfg. in Randolph. Devoted father of Stephen J. Smith and his wife Shirley of MI, Gary P. Smith and his wife Joanne of Braintree, Shirley J. Smith of Quincy and the late Pamela Preteroti. Grandfather of Peter, Stephen, Christopher, Sybil, Erik, Jason, Matthew and Lindsey. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Hugh, Robert and Pete Smith. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22nd at 10 a.m. in the Evangelical Congregational Church of Atlantic, 65 Newbury Ave., Quincy. Burial to follow in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st from 4 - 8 p.m. at Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock St., Quincy. Donations in Harveys name may be made to Evangelical Congregational Church of Atlantic, 65 Newbury Ave., Quincy, MA 02169.
