Edna D. Faulkner, 79, Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of the Clarksburg and New Salem communities, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1987, in Punta Gorda. She was a retired nurses aid, and had worked at the Rush County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Owsley County, Ky., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Smith. She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda, and of the OES in Andersonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Faulkner, who died in 1968. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Betty) Conway, Punta Gorda; one brother, William V. Smith, Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with pastor David Frazier officiating.

Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

There will be a ritualistic OES service at the mortuary at 7 p.m. Friday.
