Carl Franklin Smith age 78 went to heaven on Monday, December 22, 2014, He was greeted by his father and Mother Jasper and Eula Smith, a brother and sister Buford Smith and Martha Kilgore. He was retired from Lithonia Lighting in Conyers, GA.
Survivors include his wife Pauline Doles Smith, his daughter Meketa (Doodle) Swords, two sons, Rodney Smith and Shannon Smith, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, seven sisters and two brothers, a stepdaughter Darlene Johnson and stepson Shane Doles.
The family will receive friends at the Gray First United Methodist Church on Friday, December 26, from 1:30 until the service hour at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to Gray First United Methodist Church 118 N. Jefferson St. Gray, GA 31032 .
