Mrs. Smith died November 5, 1995 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Beaumont, California on August 15, 1919 and moved to White River Lake in 1985 and lived in Spur the past four years.
She married Tommy Smith on July 11, 1942 in Spur.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and had been employed by White River Municipal Water District as a gatekeeper. She was preceded in death by one brother, W.A. McCombs, in 1989 and one sister, Allene Cook, in 1979.
She is survived by her husband of Spur; one son, Jim Smith, Spur; two daughters, Jane Eason of Big Spring and Judy Scott of Fort Sumner, NM; three brothers, Raymond and Elmer McCombs both of Spur; Billy G. McCombs of Gardendale; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
