Mrs. Hannah J. Burget
Monday, October 7, Mrs. Hannah Burget, wife of Jacob B. Burget, died in Juniata at the home of her son, Reuben E. Burket, aged 75 years, 5 months and 14 days.
During the last few years of her life Mrs. Burket was a great sufferer from rheumatism. With in the last year dropsy developed which was the immediate cause of her death.
The deceased was one of a family of six children and was a daughter of Joseph and Hannah Smelser. She was born in Martinsburg and spent her entire life in Morrison's Cove with the exception of one year during which she lived in the west.
On October 19, 1858, she was united in marriage with Jacob B. Burget and with him for over half a century lived on their farm near Henrietta, at Page station.
When a young maiden she united with Hickory Bottom Reformed church and was a life-long member of the church.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Jeremiah and Reuben of Juniata, and Martin of Tyrone.
The remains were taken to Page station on Wednesday, and yesterday morning were taken to Mt. Pleasant Reformed church where services were held at 10 o'clock. Interment was made in the Burget cemetery on the home farm.
Her death certificate and Jacob's both list burial in cemetery at 'Page' or 'Page Station'.
