Charles was married twice. His first wife was Flora E. Weimert, born 1882. They divorced and Flora was married second to Mr. Howington. Flora and Mr. Howington are probably buried in or near Dayton, Ohio. Flora and Charles had one child, Myrtle 1911-2003, married to Roy Tangeman 1910-1974 d Dayton, OH. Olive was Charles' second wife. Olive was a sister of Flora.

Charles Smeltzer, of York RD, died at 1 a.m. today, Oct. 30, 1970, in York Hospital, after an extended illness. He was born in Roaring Spring Aug. 18, 1887, a son of William and Agnes (Himes) Smeltzer, and married Olive Weimert. Surviving are his wife, two children, Mrs. Roy Tangeman of Dayton, Ohio, and Arleigh of Dover, and a brother, Norman. Friends will be received in the Masood Funeral Chapel, Saxton, after 7 p.m. Sunday. [Dover is in York County, Pennsylvania.]

Charles Smeltzer, 83, a native of Roaring Spring residing at York RD, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 1970, at York Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Masood Funeral Chapel, Saxton, by the Rev. Thomas Irwin. Burial was in the Reformed Cemetery, Hopewell, RD.
He was born Aug. 18, 1887, a son of William and Agnes (Himes) Smeltzer, and married Olive Weimert.
Surviving are his wife, two children, Mrs. Roy Tangeman of Dayton, Ohio, and Arleith of Dover, and a brother, Norman.
