Mary Anna Barton, 82, died Saturday at Boone Retirement Center, Columbia. She was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Thomas H.
and Minta Goodrick Small. She was married in Eldon in June 1937 to Curtis Barton, who died in 1973.
She attended Central Missouri State Teachers' College and taught for 13 years in Miller County schools. She was a children's librarian at
the public library in Warren, Ohio. She was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Singables.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary J. Rust, Columbia; two sisters, Bonnie Fay Kallenbach, Bolivar, and Glenna Harryman, Eldon; one
brother, Kelly Small, Eldon; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. John M. Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery, Iberia. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
