Lucy Carr Sloan, 78 died Saturday in a Baldwin County Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Burial will be in Fairmont Baptist Church Cemetery in Hancock County. The Rev. Terry Cliet will officiate.
Mrs. Sloan, a native of Hancock County, lived in Baldwin County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a Member of Fairmont Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Sara Horne of Miami, Lucy Alford, Emmie Lee Reed, Martha Garner and Rosa Lee Robinson, all of Milledgeville, and Shirley Felder of Augusta; three sons, James S. Sloan of Albuquerque, N.M., Walter R. Sloan and James L. Sloan Jr., both of Milledgeville; two sisters, Lee Willard Hyman and Mary Roberts, both of Milledgeville; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
