Nancie Sue Whitfield Dubard, 66, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at her home.
Nancie was born May 12, 1947 in Detroit, MI to Truman and Susie Lovett. She lived most of her life in Marietta, GA and moved to Lake Charles 5 years ago. She loved gardening and just being at home. Nancie had a love for genealogy and her grandson, Andrew always called her "Two Momma".
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; one son; one daughter; and four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill.
Her funeral service will be at 10am Tuesday, May 6, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation is from 5-9pm Monday, May 5, and will resume Tuesday 9am 'til service time at the funeral home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.

She was the daughter of the late Truman H. Lovett and Susan Watters Lovett. Born in Detroit, Mi., on May 12, 1947, she lived there for 2 years before moving with her family to Marietta, Ga., where she lived for most of her life. She attended Elizabeth Elementary School, and graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1965. Nancie was crowned Miss Cobb County Fair in September, 1963. She worked as a Secretary, Facilities Coordinator, and Bookkeeper until her retirement in 2013. Nancie's interests included gardening and genealogy research, the latter of which she practiced for extended family and friends, as well as her own family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was always available to lend a helping hand. Nancie was preceded in death by her brother, William Lovett. She is survived by her husband, Charley Dubard of Moss Bluff, La.; son, Jon Perdue of Olympia, Wa.; daughter, Ashlei Whitfield of Marietta, Ga.; step-daughter, Meghan D. Trayhan of Lake Charles, La.; brother, Thomas Lovett of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters; Toby L. Davis of Little Mountain, S.C.; Rebecca L. Gronenthal of Marietta, Ga.; as well as 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. New Ritchie Cemetery, also in Moss Bluff.
