Slinkard died Aug. 30 at her home in Durham, Calif.
She was born Sept. 12 in Lake City to Dorothy and Wilson Barnett.
Both of her parents and their respective families had travelled by covered wagon to California, settling in Surprise Valley.
Sept 24, 1921, she married Warren N. Slinkard in Alturas. They moved to Durham from Eagleville, in 1955.
Slinkard was a homemaker during her adult life. She was a charter member of the Eagleville Community Church also a member of the Durham United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a daughter.
Survivors include her son, Wilson E. Slijnkard of Chico; a daughter, Dorothy Holecek of Mt. Shasta; two sisters, Gloria Ward of Alturas and Marjory Branson of Chico; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sept. 5 at Eagleville Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Zandstra officiating. Chico services were officiated by the Rev. James Patterson of the Durham United Methodist church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Durham United Methodist Church or to the Eagleville Community Church.
