HARTSTOWN - Mary L. Kiskadden, 95, of Hartstown, a recent resident of Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, went peacefully to meet her Lord on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011.
She was born Jan. 15, 1916, to Theophile and Hermina Kruty Slezak. She married William R. Kisdadden on Aug. 21, 1937, in Jamestown; he preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1992.
She was a loving and devoted homemaker who over the years worked at Talon Company in Meadville, was an assistant postmaster in Hartstown and managed the cafeteria in East Followfield Elementary School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Jamestown.
Survivors include a son, James W. Kiskadden and his wife, Marti-Jo, of Hartstown, grand-daughter, Billie-Jo Hyde and her husband, Donald, two grandsons, Andrew J. Kiskadden and his wife Candice, and Shawn J. Kiskadden and significant other, Tomisa Schmeider; son, Harry A. Kiskadden and his wife, Sara L., of Hudson, Ohio, grandson, Kirby J. Kiskadden and his wife, Cristine, granddaughter, Angela K. Barnes and her husband, Douglas, and grandson, Gregory A. Kiskadden and his wife, Monica; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including Richard J. Floch and his wife, Nancy, of Harstown, and Richard A. Kiskadden and his wife, Loretta, of Atlantic. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Anna Floch and Frances Courtney; and a brother, James Slezak.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. The funeral service will following the calling at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Rachel Johns of Harstown Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Hartstown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hartstown Presbyterian Church.
