Barbara Jane Barnes

BARNES, BARBARA JANE, 67, of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009, at Baptist Hospital East. She was the former Barbara Slaughter, a native of Owen County, KY and an Administrator for Children's Heart Specialists, she had retired earlier from Sears and was a former realtor. She was a senior member of Highview Baptist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, David Lee Barnes; and her brothers, Ben and Bill Slaughter. She is survived by her loving children, Vickiee Villafane (Juan), and Stephanie Coleman (Mark); grandchildren, Kaylee and Cody Coleman; brother, JohnWatson Slaughter; four grand-puppies. Funeral service is noon Tuesday at Arch L. Heady Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may go to Hosparus of Louisville or Wayside Christian Mission.
