Lisa Faye Slape-Richardson was born on Thursday morning, June 1st, 1972 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center the daughter of Larry and Patsy (Foster) Slape. Lisa attended school at Norwood Elementary, Ft. Gibson High School, and Connors State College. She worked in the travel and tourism industry until she met and married her husband, Brian Paul Richardson on June 24th, 2005. She and Brian lived in Nashville, TN, until moving to St. Augustine, FL. Lisa was a loving Christian who reached out to others everywhere she went. Lisa and Brian's "Transcending Love" Ministry has brought love and peace to many people. While Brian was busy working at AVI-SPL, a video production specialty company out of the Saw Grass Marriot in Ponte Vedra, FL, Lisa kept busy volunteering for Emerson and Ana Mendez-Ferrell's "Voice of the Light" ministry in Ponte Vedra, where she dedicated herself to hours spent organizing conferences, and arranging travel for the ministry around the world. Lisa enjoyed people and travel. She was a gifted cook and she and Brian often entertained others in their home. Together, they enjoyed swimming and diving in the Florida Keys. Lisa was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Boston Redsox (from her husband's hometown) and any Oklahoma team (her old home state). She loved a day spent trout fishing with her Dad and cousin, Shawn, and canoeing with Brian in New Hampshire. Music was always a joy in Lisa's life, but her favorite was undoubtedly the songs Brian composed, played and sang just for her in their home. Lisa went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 15th, 2011, at Baptist Hospital South in Jacksonville, FL, surrounded by those she loved. She was 39 years old. Lisa is preceded in death by her grandfather, George W. Foster of Hulbert, her great grandparents, Coy and Ida Slape of Norwood, OK, and Elmer and Lily Baker of Muskogee, OK. Her Uncles, Robert Foster and Donald Foster both of Hulbert, OK, Uncle Bill Foster and wife Inez of Coweta, OK, and Aunt GeorgeAnna Foster-Dutton of Locust Grove Community, OK. Lisa loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved people and reached out to others constantly. She loved the Lord and is now in His presence. Her smiles, laughter, and loving encouragement will be greatly missed. Her strength of character, never-give-up-attitude, and determination to live life, not just survive it, will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Jack and Hellen Thomas of Tulsa, OK, and Reverend Bobby Botts of Hulbert, OK, officiating.
