Jane Ann Amberson, 81, long time resident of Bandera, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1928 to H. Slade and Pearl Black Norman in Ada, Oklahoma.

Jane was a member of the Flying L Chapel and will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Jane Fields of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Nancy Jane Reaney of Bandera; and Laura Ann Amberson and Floyd Evans of Ingram; sons, Steven Marshall and Ann Matthews of Aurora, Colorado; Scott Alan Matthews and his wife, Donna, of New Braunfels; and Donald Wayne Tyson of San Antonio; sisters, Nancy Lorraine Hall of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Mary Laura McKown of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and grandchildren, Joshua Michael Matthews, Melissa Ann Matthews, Tamara Che Garcia, Jereme Shawn Matthews, Dustin Evan Bruce, Danika Nicole Reaney, Brittany Danielle Yeoman, Danielle Nichole Evans and Cameron Floyd Evans, as well as six great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her son, Roger Norman Matthews.

Funeral Services were held Friday, Oct. 30, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Pastor Bruce Offield. Interment followed at Tres Lomas in Medina.

Pallbearers included Donald Tyson, Dustin Bruce, Chris Yeoman, Floyd Evans, Steven Jones and Randy Evans. Honorary Pallbearers were Ronnie Carter, Billy Burns, Pat Herrera, Cameron Evans, and Steven Maldonado.
