Alma Lou French, 83, of South Charleston, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.
She was born to the late Lumer and Nina Milan Sisk in Wyoming County. Alma was a homemaker and loved spending time with and taking care of her family. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, as well as her luncheons with her high school classmates.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas D. French; brother, Donald Sisk; sister-in-law, Rae Sisk; and daughter-in-law, Jo French.

Alma is survived by her son, Tim French of South Charleston; daughters, Terri (Jeff) Adkins of Huntington and Shelly (Billy) Woolwine of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Keith (Staci) Griffith and Lindsay Adkins, all of Huntington, Kristin Woolwine (Zach) Penny and LeeAnn Woolwine, all of Dallas, Texas, and T.D. French of New York; great-grandson, Logan Griffith; brother, Bert (Freda) Sisk of Frankfurt, Ky., and Pete Sisk of Mullens.

A service to honor the life of Alma will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Snodgrass Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen White officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Family and friends may visit from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25701.
