Quite a large crowd of relatives and friends assembled at the home of Mrs. O. A. Singer, at Marcoot, last Sunday afternoon to witness the marriage of her daughter, Miss Annie, to Mr. Jno. R. Tatum, of this place.
The ceremony was performed in a very impressive manner by Rev. A. J. Notestine, of this place.
Both the bride and the groom are well known throughout this section and their many friends congratulate them upon their choice of a helpmeet. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Tatum left for Milltown to visit the groom’s parents. They arrived in LaFayette Monday and will make this their home.

The Passing Of A Good Woman.
The whole community was grieved by the news of the death of Mrs. J. B. Tatum at her home near LaFayette Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Tatum had been ill for about five weeks, and although her recovery was doubtful, death came as a distinct shock to her host of friends.
Mrs. Tatum was forty years of age. She had been an active member of the Methodist Church for seventeen years. She was a devout Christian and there are many who will mourn her passing away. The funeral was held at home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. B. Hope, and interment was in the LaFayette Cemetery.
