Geneva Carrie Sine Helsley, 85, of Edinburg, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Reverends Fred Mauck and Katie Gosswein will officiate. Burial will follow in Columbia Furnace Cemetery.

Mrs. Helsley was born July 20, 1923 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Dillmon Sine Jr. and Ethel Johnson Sine. She retired from Edinburg Aileen. She was a member of Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lee Helsley; son, Eugene "Jim Buck" Helsley; brothers, Marshall Elwood Sine, Ford Clifton Sine, Cpl. William Dillmon Sine, and Dewey Lee Sine, and sisters, Fern Arlene Riggleman, and Pauline Joan Sine.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Lee Barb and Berlin of Mt. Jackson; brothers, Cletus "Tuck" Sine of Edinburg, Richard Landon Sine of Edinburg and Paul Sine of Front Royal; sisters, Rachel Catherine Reedy of Woodstock, Faye Irene Shipe of Winchester, Dorthy May Mumaw of Edinburg, Peggy Jean Grove of Edinburg, and Roxie Geraldine Estep of Edinburg; sister-in-law, Carolyn Helsley of Edinburg; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Helsley, Ringo Hottle, Ray Mumaw Sr., Robert Brown Jr., Kevin Barb, Robert Baker Sr., Jeremy Burkett and Matthew Funkhouser.
