HORNBECK, La. — Funeral service for Mrs. Billie Lynne Herring, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Thomas, Mr. David Tankersley and Mr. Tim Jarman officiating. Interment will be at Forestlawn Gardens. The family invites friends and relatives to visitation this evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Herring passed away Sunday, July 12, 2008, her residence. Mrs. Herring is survived by her sisters, Inez McLean, of Oxford and Sue Stephens, of La.; nieces and nephews, Yvonne White, Chuck and Mike Stephens, Martha Evans, Robbie Browning, Terry, Tommy, Tracy and Troy McLean, Polly Jean Ladd, Joyce Lovelady and Sue Strickland; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the nephews. Mrs. Herring was a native of Alabama, former resident of Oxford and present residence of Hornbeck, La. She retired from Regions Bank as Manager of Collection. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Herring, parents, Andrew (Mack) and Myra Sims; sister, Lorene Morrow. Lynn was loved and adored by all of her family and friends. She had a gift of making everyone feel special. She will be missed very much.
