Graveside funeral were held at Santa rites Anna Cemetery Friday, June 6, to Mrs. Kittye Adams, 84, who died Wednesday, June 4, in a Marshall Nursing Home after a long illness. The Rev. Mike Alexander, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiated at the service that was directed by Henderson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adams was born in Sant Anna November 27, 1895, the daughter of James D. and Lula (Turner) Simpson. She was a graduate of Santa Anna High School and attended Howard Payne College. She was a housewife and a Methodist. She was a long-time resident of Santa Anna moving to Marshall in 1976.
Survivors are a son, Dr. Frank D. Adams of Marshall; a sister, Mary Lucksinger of Austin; and two brothers, Tom H. Simpson Sr. of Weslaco and James Simpson of Corpus Christi.
