He was born August 18, 1969, in Galesburg to Randy E. and Janice K. Forshee Simpson.
Surviving are his father of Oquawka, his mother Janice Hale, of Abingdon; his stepfather Bill Brooks of Peoria; two daughters Heather Markley of Avon and Ashley Taylor of Galesburg; paternal grandparents Gene & Viola Simpson of Abingdon; one brother, Brian Brooks of Abingdon, and one sister Billy Jo Jackson of Abingdon and several aunts, uncles, cousins
He attended the Assembly of God and the Church of God of Prophecy, both in Abingdon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. The Rev. Warren Cummins will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery.
