Death of Mrs. John Belford
At her home, 181 South Halsted Street, Chicago, yesterday noon, Mrs. John Belfrod breathed her last. On Tuesday evening at 10:30 she suffered an attack of paralysis which completely affected one side of her body and extended to her brain. She had experienced two slight attacks some years previously.
Deceased was widely known in Rockford, where she had resided some 60 years. Her husband will will be remembered by most citizens as the veteran West State Street baker, for some years president of Burns Club, and also representing the third ward as alderman. About five years ago they removed to Chicago. The deceased was about 68 years of age. Her husband and seven children survive her. The latter are Walter Belford, Mrs. Clinton Walling, David, Jennie, Fred, Arthur and Ed Belford.
Word was recieved her yesterday of the death, which was very sudden and unexpected. Walter Belford immediately went to Chicago, and returned accompanied by Clinton Walling. The remains will be brought to Rockford this evening on the Milwaukee road, and the funeral will occur at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the residence of Walter Belford, 507 Rockton Avenue, Dr. Kerr officiating.
