"Red" Simpson

Edward Andrew "Red" Simpson, son of the late Thomas Edward "Ed" Simpson and Mary Small Simpson, was born July 30, 1929, in Norfork. He departed this life on November 6, 2005, Conyers, Georgia. He was 76-years old.

He was united in marriage to Mildred Moser until her death in 1987. Later he married Ethel Carrington until her death in October. "Red" was a life long resident of Norfork. He owned and operated a service station in Norfork for 35-years and served as Fire Chief of the Norfork Fire Department. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

"Red" leaves to mourn his passing: two sons: Andy Simpson of Searcy and his fiancé'. Phyllis, and Alan Simpson of Mansfield, Georgia and his with wife Martha; four sisters: Hattie Mae Wilson of Jacksonville, Louise Boyd of Bergman, Imogene Stevens of Othello, Washington and Forothy Algaier of Washington; three brothers: O.C. Simpson of Norfork, Bobby Simpson of Gepp, and Earl Simpson of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren: Donnie Simpson Stanley Simpson, Chance Simpson, Audra Simpson and Andrea Simpson and host of other relative and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and two sisters; Vivian Stork and June Simpson.

Funeral services were held November 9, at the Salesville Church of Christ with Jeff Crawford officiating. Pallbearers were Stanley Simpson, Donnie Simpson, Howard Rand, Melvin Small, George Boyd and Barton Conley.

Interment was at Norfork Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
