CISNE. Special Correspondence of the Press.

Mrs. Sealy Stevens, wife of LaFayette Stevens, died Friday night at 9 o'clock. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday at one o'clock, by Rev. Stephen Williams, of Liberty, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Yarnall cemetery. Mrs. Stevens was a kind mother and companion and neighbor, and will be greatly missed at home. No one can fill the place of mother. The bereaved have the sympathy of a large circle of friiends. Those who were called here from a distance were: Fairsina Elledge, of Parson, Kansas, the only sister living of Mrs. Stevens, and 76 years old; Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Ames, Parson, Kan; W. J. Elledge and daughter, Nellie, of Potosi, Mo.; Mrs. Nannie Easley, of Hillsboro, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Hill, of Flora and Mr. G. T. Simpson, of Corning, Iowa. Mr. Simpson is a brother of Mrs. Stevens. He arrived Monday too late for the funeral.

Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson, of Flora, were called here when Mrs. Stevens was first taken sick. Mrs. Wilson is a daughter of the deceased.

Card of Thanks.

We wish to extend our many thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during our recent trouble and bereavement.
