MADISONVILLE — Freida Mae Simms Leavell, 66, Madisonville, formerly of Earlington, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Simms and Jennie Ethel Scisney Simms.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Leavell of Madisonville; one daughter, Pamela Jackson of Chicago; three sisters, Geraldine Fluellen and Helen Brown, both of Madisonville, and Sherrie Peacher of Evansville; two brothers, Edgar Simms of Henderson and Elder Herman Simms of Capitol Heights, Md.; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville. The Rev. Robert L. Cottoner will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
