"The Journal-Telephone", Milton Junction, Wisconsin, Thursday, Jan. 28, 1926, p 1.

Mrs. Albert Crandall died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sidney Green Saturday, Jan. 23, 1926, at 10:30 p. m. She had been feeling as well as usual when death came very suddenly.

Mary Simmons was born in the town of Harmony, May 8, 1854. She was the daughter of William and Mary Hart Simmons. March 19, 1880, she was married to Albert P. Crandall, and lived in or near Milton Junction most of her life.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Irving P. and Lewis H., and one daughter, Mrs. Sidney Green; five grandchildren, all of Milton Junction. There are also two brothers in Milroy, Minn., and one brother in Janesville. Besides there are a host of relatives and friends who will mourn her loss.

Mrs. Crandall was for many years the only sister in a large family of brothers and the loving interest and friendship between them made many happy days in their lives. Although Mrs. Crandall's whole heart was centered in her family and it might truly be said that her world was her home, yet it was also true that her heart was so large that all who came to that home were made to feel that the welcome they received was most sincere.

And many indeed were those who enjoyed her wonderful hospitality, for the Crandall home was ever a glad meeting place for a host of friends. Her own mother spent the last 12 years of her life in this home where she received all the kind attention a loving daughter could give. And in the same spirit in these later years she has cared for an aged aunt of her husband's.

All who have ever known her as neighbor, friend or in the more intimate family relationships will remember always her unselfish loving spirit. Her going is the first break in the family circle.

Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Sidney P. Green Tuesday at 2 o'clock, Rev. Anton Hatlestad officiating. Burial was in the Milton Junction cemetery.

Mrs. Hull and Mrs. Wayland Coon sang two duets.
