Services for Elaine Simmons Brazell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Kevin Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Brazell, 84, of Alexandria passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
She was retired secretary for the Credit Bureau. She was a resident of Naomi Heights. The family is very thankful for the ministries of Kingsville Baptist Church and Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie G. Brazell; parents, Jim G. and Lillie Bryan Simmons; brothers, Edward Simmons and Varnell Simmons.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Randall D. Brazell and wife, Pat; daughter, Donna Cedars and husband, Tracy; sisters, Myrtle M. Kees and husband, E. L., Mary B. Marks; brother, W. Odell Simmons and wife, Dorothy; sister-in-law, Barbara Simmons; three grandchildren, Kealy Duke and husband, Gene, Amy Thompson and husband, Albert, Ty Cedars; two great grandchildren, Ian Duke and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Thompson.
