Mrs. Cheatham Taken By Death; Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Lillian Cheatham died Saturday evening at 5:45 o'clock at the Madison nursing home following an illness. She was 80 years of age.
Mrs. Cheatham was a native of Southport, but had lived in Madison since girlhood. She was the widow of William Cheatham, and her home was at 904 west Second street. She was employed at Clifty Inn until forced to retire several years ago by failing health. Mrs. Cheatham was a member of the First Baptist church.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Robert Cheatham, of this city; William Carl Cheatham, of Louisville, and Mrs. Edna Mason, of Madison; also 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Lytle Mortuary, with burial in Springdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary.
