MACON – Frances Wynelle S. Bedgood passed away Monday, January 9th in Marietta, Georgia.
Wynelle, daughter of Ethel Goodin Simmons and Addis F. Simmons, was born May 19, 1923 in Macon. Nell is the widow of Harris J. Bedgood. Nell, a lover of homes, interiors and antiques, received her realtor's license from Macon College. This love of homes led Nell and Harris to purchase the Goddard Scott Huff Johnston House which they lovingly worked to restore. Their home was featured in Macon Treasures Remembered, Macon Magazine and on Georgia Public Television. Nell and Harris were also honored by the Macon Heritage Foundation for their significant contributions to the field of historic preservation.
Nell was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. One of Nell's passions was to collect and purchase toys throughout the year to provide for children through the Kids Yule Love at Christmas.
Nell is survived by her daughters, Sandra Price Aronson (Jack) of Marietta and Judy B. Sudderth (Bill) of Macon; her grandchildren, Harris Sudderth (Tiffany) and Tiffany Murray (Stephen); her great grandchildren, Winn and Hallie Murray and Savannah Sudderth; her sisters, Ruenette Clements, Pat Hayslip, Barbara Smith, Betty Petzold and Ann Winand; several nieces and nephews and devoted friend, Iris Walton.
