"MRS. NATE DRUXMAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Marie Druxman, 5025 Pullman Av. N.E., will be at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow in the Bonney-Watson Broadway chapel.
Burial will be in the Oak Lake Cemetery. She died Saturday in a hospital after a long illness.
During the Second World War, Mrs. Druxman wrote hundreds of letters to former Seattle Boy Scouts serving in the armed forces. She kept a file of names and addresses the boys and marked their movements on a map.
Mrs. Druxman also was head of a project to prepare an honor roll fort he Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of all former Boy Scouts from this area in the armed forces. She also was active in Red Cross work.
Born in Seattle, Mrs. Druxman would have been 70 yesterday. Her maternal grandfather, Mose Korn, was a Seattle pioneer and one of the city's first aldermen. She attended the Pacific School.
Mrs. Druxman and her husband Nate, boxing promoter, Realtor and earlyday sports figure, observed their 51st wedding anniversary November 6.
Surving besides her husband are four sons, Edward of Seattle, Robert N. of Juneau, Alaska; Calvin H. of Witchita Falls, Tex., and E. J. (Bud) Druxman, Santa Monica, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Ethelyn Goodman, Los Angeles, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Former Camp parsons staff Boy Scouts will be active pallbearers. They are James D. Dubuar, Roger E. Dunham, Frank D. Horsfall, Phillip M. Smart and William M. Liddle, all of Seattle, and Bruce C. Winston, Everett."
