Genevieve Costigan, 71, Chapman, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at Chapman Valley Manor in Chapman.

She was born January 15, 1931 in Braymer, Missouri.

She married Kenneth Costigan on April 5, 1955 at Clay Center. They lived on a farm in rural Chapman and she worked at the Irish Grill in Chapman for many years.

She had been a resident at Chapman Valley Manor since February 25, 2003. She was a member of the Chapman United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She also was a member of Chapman American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth of the home; two sons Kenny E. Costigan of Salina, and Christopher P. (Pete) Costigan of Herington; one daughter, Kathy Chisholm of Winslow, Arizona; five sisters, Annivieve Lee of Cuba, New York, Carol Blenn of Westmoreland, Peggy Kuehl of Topeka, June Richmond of Azle, Texas, and Patsy Calhoun of Silver Lake; and one brother, Charles R. Simkins of Overland Park.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jennifer Costigan, on January 20, 1998.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Londeen Funeral Chapel in Chapman. Rev. Kenneth Trickle Jr. will officiate. The Londeen Funeral Chapel will be open from Thursday morning until the time of the service.

Burial will be at the Indian Hill Cemetery in Chapman.

Memorials may be given to the American Kidney Fund and may be sent in care of the Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman KS 67431.
