OBITUARY: Death Took William Silverthorn Monday
The death of William David Silverthorn took place at his late home here last Monday morning at three o'clock. His last illness took in a period of about six months.
The deceased was born 58 years ago in Port Hope and spent all his life here with the exception of two years in Au Sable. (error)
He was a son of the late Wm. Silverthorn, and Mrs. Ellen Silverthorn.
Thirty-three years ago he and Edith McCash of Cheboygan were married. She and one adopted son, James, survive his death. Others to survive are his brother, George Silverthorn; sister, Mrs. Andrew Tageson and his mother, Mrs. Ellen Silverthorn.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Morgan Funeral Home, with burial taking place in the Rock Falls cemetery. Rev. Eckstein, of the Baptist church, officiated.
Those from out of the city to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carol, Rogers City; Mr and Mrs Walter McCash, Cheboygan, Bernard and Earl Hammond, Flint, and Mrs. Annie Weyers, St. Ignace.
Mr Silverthorn for many years was one of the operators at the local waterworks pumping station.
