Born in Chester she lived in Hartford 45 years, moving to Wallingford 2 years ago. She was a member of the Ivanhoe Chapter 10, Order of the Eastern Star in Hartford and Windsor Court 14 Order of Amaranth in West Hartford.
She leaves three sons; J. Stanbury DeVoe of West Hartford, Bernell P. DeVoe of Charlestown, RI, and Ellis A. DeVoe of Margate Fla., two brothers Benjamin H. Silliman of Windsor and Raymond Silliman of Newbury NH and two grandchildren.
