Mrs. Armstrong was born July 8, 1930 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Whitaker and Beatrice (Rabideau) Silliman. She operated a beauty shop in her home for many years and was a cook at Reddick High School. On Feb. 28, 1976 she married Theodore "Ted" Armstrong in Kankakee. She attended St. Mary's Church in Reddick.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gary (Linda) Emling, Dwight; Steven Emling, Gretna, La., and Bill (Annette) Patchett, Odell; four daughters, Marla Raymond, Bradley; Cindy (Vic) Graham, Weatherford, Tex.; Nina Veselsky, Romeoville and Belinda (Doug) Steichen, Dwight; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Chamness, Chathem; four nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jon Romanetto; and one great-grandchild, Aris Emling.
Age 76 years.
