Benjamin H. Siebels was born July 20, 925 in rural Tyro to Habbo and Dora (Beyen) Siebels. He attended rural schools in the Tyro area.
In 1943 he entered the U.S. Army, serving in the South Pacific. He received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Philippine Liberation ribbon with one Bronze Star. Following his discharge in 1946 he made his home in Coffeyville.
On July 9, 1946, he married Juanita McKee at Independence. They made their home in Coffeyville for a short time before moving to the McKee family farm in Nowata. In 1963 they moed to their farm three miles south of Valeda, where they farmed and raised cattle.
Ben worked for Jensen Brothers Mfg for several years. In 1960 he began working for Acme Foundry where he worked until retiring in 1993.
