INTERMENT ARRANGED AT WAYNE CEMETERY FRIDAY FOR MRS. JOHN SIEBELS
Mrs. John H. Siebels, 61, died at her home here Monday at 6 a.m. Rev. F.H. Kehren will conduct the funeral service at Wayne Lutheran church Friday at 11 a.m. After a short service at Goettsch Funeral home at 10:30a.m. Interment will be in Wayne cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Tobias R. Tobiason, Edward Heeren, Henry H. Harms, Will Zimmerman, Ed Stutt and Wilke Behrends.
Mrs. Anke Almine Siebels was born March 1, 1888, in Wayne Township. She was the daughter of Johann Heinrich Hayen and Gesche Catherine Harms Hayen. She was baptized on April 29, 1888, and confirmed on March 23, 1902, by Rev. C Mardorf. On April 10, 1912, she was married by Rev. Mardorf to John H. Siebels.
Six children were born: LaVina and Henrietta, who died in infancy; Allen Henry, Anamosa; Leeard Garritt, South Gate, Calif.; Mrs. William J. (Lucetta) Albers,
Anamosa, and Marvin, a student at Ames. Two grandchildren survive, Dale and Richard Albers along with two brothers and five sisters, John and Henry Hayen, both Monticello; Mrs. Meta Hedden, Perry; Mrs. Lizzie Tobiason, Mrs. William T. Rieken, (Sena) and Mrs. Rhinehard (Kate)) Doden, Monticello; and Mrs. Mary Thuman, Anamosa.
Mrs. Siebels lived on the home farm near Wayne for 34 years. After living at Langworthy for a short period, they moved to Anamosa 19 months ago.
