December 11, 1921 to July 22, 2008
Lucetta "Cetta" Albers, 86, of Anamosa died July 22, 2008, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehab Center, following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm., Friday, July 25, 2008 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Pastor LeVern Beener will officiate at the service. Interment will be at the Wayne Zion Cemetery, rural Monticello. Friends may call starting at 11:00am at the Church Friday morning. Thoughts, Memories, and Condolences may be left at
She is survived by one daughter Sheri Albers, of Knoxville Tennessee; two sons Rick (Mary) Albers of Anamosa, and Dale Albers of Olathe, Kansas; 2 brothers Lee and Marvin (Ruth) Siebels, all of Hot springs, Arkansas; Grandchildren are Rochelle (Paul) Applebe, Rod (Shellie) Albers of Anamosa, Brad (Liz), Bryon (Jodi) and Darron (Dawn) Albers all of Kansas; a brother-in-law Lawrence (Scotty) Albers (Sylvia), and sister-in-laws, Celena Siebels and Sally Albers; and 5 great granddaughters, and 4 great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and an infant brother Leonard and an infant sister Lavina; and a brother Allen Siebels.
Lucetta was born December 11, 1921 in Wayne Township, in Jones County. She was the daughter of John Henry and Alma Hayen, Siebels. She received her education from the Wayne Township Schools. On December 21, 1940 William "Bill" Albers and Lucetta Siebels were married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They were married for 62 years, until the time of Bills death, January 31, 2003.
Lucetta worked at the Reliance Shirt Factory for 5 years, then Ben Franklin for 35 years, and Wal-Mart for 7 years. She was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Lucetta loved sewing, reading, flowers, her pet cat "Kelly", and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
