Marilyn Shupe Dyer passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at her home of causes incident to age.

She was born in Ogden, a daughter of George David and Rhea Ogden Shupe. She was raised in Ogden and attended local schools until her senior year in which she graduated from San Jose High School in California.

On June 17, 1949 she married Timothy Harry Dyer in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple December of 1960.

She was a member of the Rock Cliff L.D.S. 2nd Ward where she served in the Sunday School, Primary, as Young Women's President, German extraction and visiting teacher.

Marilyn worked at the I.R.S. for 20 years. She also worked in several large department stores in Ogden. She served on the Horace Mann P.T.A. and was a member of the Police Women's Auxiliary. She loved music in her life and played the violin when in her teens. She also sang in many women's groups. More than anything she loved spending time with her family and loved the holidays.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy; her children, Cheryl (Marv) Jensen of Roy, Mike Dyer of Clearfield, Patti (Rod) Romander of Montpelier, ID, Kelly (Sandra) Dyer of Farr West and Bonnie (Rex) Thornock of Ogden. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way and a sister, Artise (Rod) Saunders.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Garth and George Shupe.
