Information on Rebecca's maiden name, her first husband, and her parents, are found in The Druggists Circular, April 1908, Page 194, an article on John McKellip. The history of an old dining table is given. The table was owned by Matthew Galt and was used to serve food to George and Martha Washington on his visit to Taneytown. The table was inherited by Mrs. Rebecca Shunk on Matthew's death and at her death, her husband, Benjamin Shunk, became its owner. At his death, the old table became the property of his son-in-law, John McKellip.
