Nettie was an awesome person. Whenever you would go to see her she would always make the biggest deal out of it. She would always say that she loved to have company. She loved her soap operas and spent time rocking in her rocking chair and watching those 'soaps'. Nettie dealt with what is called "St. Vitus Dance" for most of her life. St Vitus Dance occurs from a major manifestation of acute rheumatic fever. It is noted by pictures of Nettie even as a small child of 3-5 years old that she had already had rheumatic fever because in those pictures her head shook. She 'shook her head' all of her life. It was noticed toward the last of her life as I observed that when she slept...she slept perfectly still with no sign of the St. Vitus Dance.
She loved her snuff too. Both she and her sisters and mother all 'dipped' and they did it all of their lives as far as I know.
